Family trips on this page start from 2,500 euros per person for eight days, and our guide to what a trip to Greece really costs shows where the money goes. Children are often charged less, though not always: it depends on the age and on the hotel. Every traveller is priced separately on your quote.

Private if you want it, and most families do. Your own guide, your own driver, and a day that can change at breakfast because somebody slept badly. Some of our trips also run as small groups, which costs less. Whichever one you are getting is named on your quote before you pay anything.

Hotels, transfers, private licensed guides and entrance fees to the sites are in. International flights and travel insurance are not. Meals are included where the itinerary says so, usually breakfast and anything built into an experience. It is all itemised on the quote, so nothing turns up later as a surprise.

There is none. Nothing to be old enough for, because the trip is built around your family rather than around a departure date, and no activity on it carries an age rule. This is where set family tours catch people out: the big platforms publish Ages 6+ and Ages 7+, and a five year old is simply not eligible.

Yes, on request, and we ask you rather than waiting for you to remember. Tell us the ages and the right seats go in with the transfer. They are booked in advance rather than found on the morning, which is one less thing to chase at an airport with tired children.

Yes. Connecting rooms, family rooms and suites are ordinary requests and we put them in the moment the booking goes. Hotels hold very few of each, so the earlier your trip is confirmed, the better your odds of the hotel you actually wanted rather than the one with space left in August.

Yes, and it is what a tailor made trip is for. Three generations want different days, so we build in a slow morning while the teenagers are out on a boat, and put everyone back at the same table for dinner. Nobody is dragged around at somebody else’s pace.

Someone meets you at the port and the bags are handled, so you are not pushing a stroller and pulling two suitcases through a crowd. We book seats inside rather than on deck, and we keep you off sailings that leave before breakfast unless the route gives us nothing else.

You call us, at any hour. Someone from our Athens office is reachable 24/7 and can find an English speaking doctor, talk to your hotel, and move whatever needs moving in the plan. While planning we also tell you which islands on your route have a hospital and which have a clinic.

Breakfast is included, along with anything built into an experience such as a cooking afternoon. The rest of the evenings stay yours. On picky eaters, Greek food is largely bread, cheese, grilled meat, chips and yoghurt, so children who eat nothing at home tend to do well here.

Yes, and it helps to know early. We keep mornings short, put the long drive after lunch, and take the Acropolis at opening rather than at noon, when the rock is stone, glare and almost no shade. Picking an island that suits their ages solves half of it before you land.

Earlier than most families expect. Family rooms are scarce, the good guides go first, and summer is largely spoken for by late winter. A deposit confirms the trip and the balance is settled well before you travel, with the exact figures and dates set out in our terms of use.
