Rest of Day at Leisure:

Athens is the historical capital of Europe, with a long history, dating from the first settlement in the Neolithic age. In the 5th Century BC (the “Golden Age of Pericles”) – the culmination of Athens’ long, fascinating history – the city’s values and civilization acquired a universal significance. Over the years, a multitude of conquerors occupied Athens, and erected unique, splendid monuments – a rare historical palimpsest. In 1834, it became the capital of the modern Greek state and in two centuries since it has become an attractive modern metropolis with unrivaled charm.

A large part of the town’s historic centre has been converted into a 3-kilometre pedestrian zone (the largest in Europe), leading to the major archaeological sites (“archaeological park”), reconstructing – to a large degree – the ancient landscape.

Day3
Athens
Divine Delphi - Private Excursion

Divine Delphi – Private Excursion

Once believed to be the Centre of the world and the site at which Apollo spoke through his oracle, Delphi is one of Greece’s most important archaeological sites. Through this 10-hour private excursion, you will visit the famous archaeological site of Delphi and its Museum, as well as one of two options: Arachova or Galaxidi.

You will enjoy a private 2-hour tour of storytelling with your guide, who will explain everything about the oracle’s functions and the role it held during ancient times. Then, while browsing the site and admiring the Temple of Apollo, The Treasure of the Athenians, and the ancient theatre, you will learn about this sacred sanctuary.

Next, you will visit the Delphi Museum. The highlights of the exhibits include the famous life-sized bronze statue of the Charioteer of Delphi and the 2-meter tall Sphinx of Naxos. The exhibits cover over 1000 years of history, from the Mycenaean era to the Greco-Roman period.

At the end of your tour, you have the option to visit one of the two nearby locations: Arachova or Galaxidi. Arachova, a cosmopolitan all-year-round destination; Galaxidi, a picturesque coastal town.

Day4
Naxos
Flight to Naxos & Enjoy Your Day at Leisure

After a short flight, you will find yourselves in Naxos!

Upon arrival, your driver will be awaiting you with a sign with your name on it.

You will be transferred to your hotel.

What’s a trip to the islands without a day on the beach? With smaller crowds than its Cycladic neighbors, Naxos makes it easy to find your own slice of paradise, whether you want privacy or a more lively scene. Terminology tip: If a beach is described as “organized,” that generally means it has sunbeds and umbrellas available to rent and plentiful restaurants.

Agios Georgios is the closest to the main town and is generally filled with families enjoying the shallow waters.

Neighbors Agia Anna and Agios Prokopios also have plenty of amenities on their sweeping sands, with enough shoreline that you’ll be able to stake out a spot but sufficient tavernas to keep you fed.

The more isolated beaches of the southwest coast—including Plaka, Mikri Vigla, and cedar-lined Aliko—are some of the best on the island. They’re farther out from the main town, and your travel will be rewarded with quieter sands and scenic surroundings.

Tip: Enjoy a relaxed stroll along the Naxos harbor, overlooking the sunset. In the evening, spend your night at bars in Naxo Old town and taste cocktails made by Naxian products!

Day5
Naxos

Our journey continues to an on-site excavation museum and ascends to the Venetian Castle area, housing a remarkable collection of prehistoric Cycladic figurines, completing the island’s cultural tapestry.

Wander from the historical port to the Venetian Old Town, alive with its vibrant food market, a traditional wood-fire bakery, and colorful stands of aromatic herbs and spices. Travelers are invited to savor local delicacies, including a delectable orange cake, a variety of fine Naxian cheeses paired with wine, and traditional bakery snacks. The food tour unfolds with the promise of more traditional mezes and local delights, culminating in the delightful sensations of Naxian gastronomy at a traditional taverna—a hospitable table where all can experience the tastes of the island.
