Athens is where most trips to Greece begin, and it deserves more than a night on the way to the islands. The Acropolis rises above the city center, the old neighborhoods are made for walking, and dinner runs late. Our team lives here, so our Athens vacation packages are planned by people who know the city street by street.
Most of our trips start with two or three nights in Athens and then head out to Santorini, Mykonos, Crete or Naxos. Others go north to Meteora, south to Nafplio, or across to Rome and Florence. You will find them all below, from family trips to Greece honeymoon packages.
Every itinerary can change to fit your dates, budget and pace. Want to see every island and region first? Browse all our Greece vacation packages.

Spring (April to June): The best weather for sightseeing. Days are warm, the city is green, and you can walk all day without the summer heat.
Summer (July and August): Hot, and often very hot in the afternoon. We plan the Acropolis and other sites for early morning and leave the middle of the day for museums, lunch and a rest.
Autumn (September and October): Warm days, fewer crowds and a good time to pair Athens with the islands, where the sea is still warm.
Winter (November to March): Mild and quieter, with some rainy days. Museums, food and city life make Athens a good winter break, even when the islands are closed.
Most of what you will want to see is in the historic center, so we keep you within walking distance of it.

Our packages that include Athens start at around €2,000 per person. The price depends on the season, your hotels, how much private guiding you want and which islands or regions you add. International flights are extra, and you see an itemized price before you commit. See what a trip to Greece costs.
Two to three nights suits most travelers. That gives you a full day for the Acropolis and its museum, a day for the old neighborhoods and food, and time to recover from the flight. With a fourth night you can add a day trip to Delphi or Cape Sounion.
The drive takes about 35 to 45 minutes, depending on traffic, and the metro takes around 40 minutes. On our trips you do not need to work it out, because a private driver meets you at arrivals and takes you straight to your hotel.
Yes, if the days are planned for them. Children love the Acropolis when a guide turns it into a story, and the city has playgrounds, gelato and a beach less than an hour away. Browse our Greece family vacation packages.
